Stormin' Normann smokes the Queen K highway and sets a new record.

I've been watching the live INTARWEB stream of todays Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawai'i while my formally ruptured appendix heals up.

Normann Stadler (GER), riding a Kuota Kalibur with Zipp 606's with Vittoria Corsa Evo CX tires, sets a new Kona course record of 4:18:23.

Damn.

26.007mph AVG for 112 miles.

As of right now, he's got under under 5K with a 2 minute lead on Chris McCormack (AUS) and Faris Al-Sultan (GER).
